Tilt-shift Dublin

As part of our group project module, myself and three other students created tilt-shift Dublin. Tilt-shift Dublin is a time-lapse video of Dublin, Ireland showing the city as toy-like model. Tilt-shift photography and videography is so interesting and very popular and we felt it would be nice to create tilt-shift Dublin, showing the city in a different perspective. Because we had no budget for our project, we could not afford to rent expensive tilt-shift lenses to film, we applied the tilt-shift look in post-processing. We tried it successfully on both Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Pro X. In the first 24 hours the video was uploaded to vimeo, it recieved 30,000 views and appeared on several online news websites including the independent.ie, broadsheet.ie, joe.ie and was also picked up in Belgium http://www.standaard.be/cnt/DMF20130520_012 which was a lovely way to finish up our second year of college!

Some clips from our video were also used in RTÉ’s Prime Time http://www.rte.ie/player/ie/show/10155156/ at 15:33 mins in and 22:33 mins in
